Position Overview:
The University of Lethbridge is seeking qualified individuals for the role of Sessional Lecturer within the Faculty of Education. This position involves instructing courses related to Professional Semester II, various Education electives, and the foundational Education 2500 course as part of the undergraduate teacher education curriculum.

Course Offerings:
  • Professional Semester II courses are available during the Spring semester.
  • Education elective courses are offered in the Fall, Spring, Summer Session I, and Summer Session II.
  • Education 2500 courses are scheduled for Fall, Spring, and Summer Session I on the Lethbridge Campus, with Summer Session I also available on the Calgary Campus.
  • Instructors may teach up to three courses per contract period.

We encourage applications from candidates with specialized knowledge in school curriculum areas and other essential teaching disciplines.

Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor of Education degree and a valid Professional Teaching Certification are mandatory.
  • A demonstrated interest in the development of educators.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of curriculum and contemporary educational methodologies.
  • Previous involvement in university field experience programs is preferred.

Candidates are invited to outline their areas of curricular expertise and any distinctive educational experiences they possess.
