Our client is a well-established and growing mid-sized firm in Downtown Vancouver, consistently striving to provide exceptional service and exceed expectations. They offer high-value, comprehensive tax services to private and public companies across various industries.

About the Opportunity

As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for tax compliance and provisions, with some exposure to tax planning. You will work collaboratively with your colleagues to maintain a positive atmosphere and contribute to special projects, both independently and as part of a team.

About the Position

As part of the Canadian Tax Group, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Preparing and reviewing Canadian corporate tax returns, primarily for public company clients
  2. Assisting in complex tax planning engagements
  3. Coordinating tax activities and developing relationships with clients
  4. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge on tax changes and advising staff and clients as needed
  5. Providing mentorship and support to junior staff members on tax-related matters
  6. Other duties as assigned
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
  2. 5+ years of Canadian tax experience with a strong tax compliance background and knowledge of Canadian tax laws
  3. Completion of the In-depth tax program is highly desirable
  4. Experience working with public company clients
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  6. Focused attention to detail and ability to work independently
  7. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Compensation

The compensation package includes:

  1. Base salary range: $100,000 - $130,000, experience-dependent
  2. Vacation: 4 Weeks
  3. Extended medical and dental coverage
  4. Fitness allowance
