Job Title: Welder

Canada Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Work Setting

This is a permanent position in a fast-paced commercial environment. You will work 40 hours per week and be required to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using various welding techniques.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
  • Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment.
