Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining project timelines, completing tasks within allocated time frames, and liaising with other discipline leads, project managers, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain project timelines and complete tasks within allocated time frames.
  • Liaise with other discipline leads, project managers, contractors, and clients to facilitate smooth information flow.
  • Reports and Calculations (test/hydraulic/equipment sizing/stress/FMEA, etc.).
  • Technical Specifications (services/components/equipment, etc.).
  • Manage a knowledge-based work unit.
  • Develop strategies and policies for program planning.
  • Monitor, measure, and verify program/project evaluation.
  • Analyze data and write reports.
  • Lead and manage teams.
  • Prepare technical reports and deliverables.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a university degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Nuclear Engineering and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant practical experience in a project engineering or field-engineering role.

Good knowledge of CANDU nuclear power plant design and operation, as well as CANDU reactor components (specifically primary heat transport, feeder, calandria), is required. Experience in compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements is also necessary.

Past experience supporting ASME Section III Appendix XXIII Qualification for Design Specification and Overpressure Protection Report is considered an asset.

The successful candidate will be recognized by their peers for professionalism, superior performance, knowledge, expertise, and ability to work in a team environment.

Eng. designation and valid Nuclear site access are required.
