Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from conducting safety orientations and job site inspections to identifying and mitigating potential hazards.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive safety orientations for new employees and contractors.
  • Perform regular job site inspections to ensure compliance with established safety procedures.
  • Proactively identify and address potential hazardous situations, implementing corrective measures to prevent accidents.
  • Review and analyze safety submittals from subcontractors, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project specifications.
  • Develop and deliver engaging training programs on various safety topics to site staff.
  • Compile and maintain accurate records of project health and safety statistics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Foster a strong safety-first culture among all site personnel, promoting open communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in construction safety management.
  • Valid OFA Level 3 certificate.
  • NCSO certification is a significant asset.
  • Construction Safety Coordinator Gold Seal Certification or CRSP Designation would be highly valued.
  • Experience with the Certificate of Recognition (COR) program is an advantage.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence others to follow safety protocols.
