Job Title: Truck Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at AJ Star Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd. As a Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units, adjusting and repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive and truck-trailer systems, and performing scheduled maintenance service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive and truck-trailer systems
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
  • Provide customer service
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Specialized environmental skills and knowledge
  • Criminal record check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Attention to detail
