About the Role
The University Health Network is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at the UHN Reactivation Care Centre. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to patients and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health promotion and disease prevention.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of education programs for patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Diploma preparation as an RPN in a recognized education program for Nursing.
- Current medication certificate (if not included in diploma program).
- Medical asepsis preferred (if not included in diploma program).
- Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (C level) Heart Saver Plus (Canada).
- Member, Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario (RPNAO), preferred.
