Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Family Medicine Specialist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Family Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and disease management.
  • Conduct thorough medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
  • Current CMPA coverage.
  • Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification.
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English and French).
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job.
  • Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality.
  • Good work and attendance record.

Working Conditions:

  • Completes and maintains a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
  • Requires a valid Class 5 driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00.
