Job Summary

Western Pro Show Rentals Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Audio Technician to join our team. As an Audio Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining audio-visual equipment, setting up and testing equipment for events, and ensuring that all audio-visual systems are functioning properly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Audio-Visual Equipment
    • Operate electronic equipment that transmits radio and television programs or motion pictures
    • Operate electronic equipment that transmits video conferencing or multimedia presentations
  • Set Up and Test Equipment
    • Set up equipment for scheduled production
  • Ensure Audio-Visual Systems Function Properly
    • Operate mixing, dubbing, editing machinery and equipment
    • Operate audio consoles or computers, tape machines, microphones and sound processing equipment at concerts and live events
    • Operate audio-visual or electronic equipment
    • Prepare and operate videotape recording and playback equipment and edit video tape after production
  • Supervise and Coordinate
    • Supervise other technical staff
    • Co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production units
  • Perform Labouring Duties
    • Perform labouring duties in warehouses
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
