About the Role

The Security Officer plays a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's assets, personnel, visitors, and clients. This position involves maintaining order and ensuring a secure environment both within and outside the premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and patrol designated areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action as necessary.
  • Provide assistance to staff and visitors, ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents or irregularities.
Qualifications

We invite candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent educational qualification.
  • Certification from a recognized security training program is advantageous. Please include details of any previous security experience.
  • Experience in building maintenance is considered beneficial.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a plus, with a preference for French.

Work Schedule
  • This is a permanent part-time role, requiring 15 hours of work every two weeks.
Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage for this position is $21.68. Successful candidates may have access to a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
