Mechanical Project Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Project Manager to join our growing team in Halifax. As a professional Engineer, you will be responsible for managing complex projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage project engineering concepts, including design briefs and concept reports.
- Review and manage design in terms of construction budgets.
- Perform reviews of existing installations and interpret/manage the impact on the project.
- Prepare calculations and select equipment, assigning tasks to designers and CAD technicians as needed.
- Ensure proper coordination of documents with internal and external project teams.
- Review deliverables for completeness and accuracy at various stages of development.
- Promote and enforce company standards for project administration, documentation, and processes.
- Act as contract administrator for designated projects, ensuring timely completion of contract administration activities.
- Coordinate with contract administration teams regarding drawing reviews, contract administration processes, and site activities.
- Five or more years of project engineering experience in mechanical building services.
- P.Eng. or ability to qualify within one year.
- Senior C.E.T. with equivalent experience and abilities will also be considered.
- Full understanding of Codes and Standards relevant for the project.
- Experience in healthcare facilities, including Infection Control Certification CAN/CSA Z312 and CSA Z32, is an asset.
- Advanced working knowledge of provincial building codes, ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards.
- Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrate ability to work in complex environments, dealing with multiple projects and clients.
- Possess sound communications skills, as demonstrated through client and staff relations.
- Demonstrate experience working with other consultants and contractors, and coordination of major projects.
