The Department of Economics at the Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics invites applications for a tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor in applied microeconomics. The successful candidate will maintain an active research agenda while teaching five sections per academic year. Our sections are generally less than 40 students, allowing for a good relationship with our students.
In the first year, the teaching load is reduced by one course. Research faculty receive start-up money for research activities. The candidate will teach economics courses from within the undergraduate and graduate courses offered on-campus in Kamloops, BC.
QualificationsThe Department of Economics at TRU Gaglardi seeks applicants researching in the area of applied microeconomics. Fields related to public policy are preferred, but all fields of microeconomics will be considered. A demonstrated strong potential for excellence in scholarly research and teaching is required. Applicants should normally have an earned doctorate in Economics. PhD candidates who are close to completion will also be considered.
