Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst, Device Integration Specialist to join our team at Island Health - Vancouver Island Health Authority. This is a critical role that requires a strong technical background and excellent business acumen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical assessments, configuration, installation, and technical support duties related to Desktop Managed Services, Managed Print Services, Microsoft Application and Workstation Virtualization, Mobility, clinical call system, and related technologies.
  • Provide operational, planning, technical delivery, management, and updates to core components such as Thin Client, mobility, and print technology delivery and management systems.
  • Assist cross-functional teams in troubleshooting complex problems related to the deployment and management of the technologies listed above.
  • Assist with training and technical support to Line of Business departments and assist with technical orientation and training of users of the deployment solutions and tools.
  • Identify system problems and correspond with Lines of Business and implement recommended solutions.
  • Provide senior-level skills required for the management and day-to-day operational and technical delivery and support of Island Health's end point services to multiple lines of business within Island Health.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Device Engineering related services, as well as supporting any layered products, software, and hardware following strict adherence to Island Health's ITIL-based Change Management and Service Desk Incident Management policies and processes.
  • Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations team by providing operational supervision and technical oversight to other members within the assigned Device Engineering team.
Requirements
  • Grade 12, graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in Computer Science plus four years' recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Ability to write programs in a variety of programming languages.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
