Position Overview

The CWB / ASME Welding Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing welding activities at our facility. This position is essential for ensuring that all welding tasks are executed by qualified personnel in accordance with approved procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supervising welding operations and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
  • Ensuring that all welding is performed by certified professionals.
  • Keeping an accurate Welder / Brazer Log.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting supervisory duties in accordance with ASME Section IX, QG-106.
  • Certifying qualification documents based on established criteria.
  • Possessing comprehensive knowledge of CWB and ASME Section IX requirements for procedure qualification and personnel joining.
  • Managing welding filler materials in compliance with ASME Sec III.
  • Verifying the qualifications of welders and brazers for specific procedures and positions.
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings with precision.
  • Utilizing various welding techniques and understanding metallurgy and engineering principles.
  • Operating hand and power tools commonly used in the welding trade.
  • Executing welding tasks on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum using SMAW or GMAW methods.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a CWB certified welding supervisor.
  • A Red Seal certification as a welder.
