About the Role

As a Financial Advisor, Investment & Retirement Planning, you will be a key member of the branch sales team responsible for driving business growth and meeting/exceeding sales targets. Your primary role will be to establish and deepen relationships with existing customers, as well as acquiring new customers through effective management of your assigned portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews for assigned customers, including retirement planning, wealth accumulation, and estate planning, utilizing financial planning skills to create customized financial strategies and solutions.
  • Be passionate about financial sales and delivering trusted financial advice to customers regarding complex investment and retirement planning.
  • Take a proactive approach to discovering customers' needs, listening to understand what they are looking for, and providing relevant insights and expert advice.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative approach when dealing with peers, customers, and partners, building strong relationships and providing a great client experience.
  • Meet/exceed negotiated deposit and investment sales goals through effective management of your assigned portfolio of customers.

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed (or working towards) the IQPF designation within Quebec.
  • Accredited mutual funds professional in good standing with CIRO licensing requirements (Investments Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
  • A minimum three years experience of financial planning and investment sales experience.
  • Demonstrated sales management experience and the ability to market Scotiabank.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships with customers, peers, and partners.
  • Bilingualism in French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with English and French-speaking clientele.
