About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Taj Mahal Indian Cuisine. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and flatware in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of simple food items, such as portioning and wrapping foods, and preparing, heating, and finishing dishes.
  • Stock Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and handle and store cleaning products.
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, and replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain a fast-paced and efficient environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.

  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a physically demanding environment.
