As a key member of our retail bakery operations, you will be responsible for the effective management of our bakery department, ensuring exceptional customer service, maximizing sales and gross profit, and maintaining a high level of store cleanliness and organization.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service in a courteous and friendly manner, ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
- Bakery Operations: Oversee the effective ordering, production, and merchandising of all bakery products, ensuring attractive displays and maintaining a high level of quality and freshness.
- Inventory Management: Effectively control inventory through pricing and signage of bakery products, ensuring that we meet our sales and profit goals.
- Staff Management: Schedule, direct, supervise, and discipline department staff, as well as train new employees to ensure a high level of customer service and product quality.
- Store Maintenance: Ensure the maintenance of equipment and the safety and sanitation of the production and back room areas, as per Company Policy.
- Customer Relations: Respond to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience as a qualified baker/decorator, preferably in a retail environment.
- Management Experience: Previous managerial experience and knowledge of production schedules is a definite asset.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Communication Skills: Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
