Position Overview

KUBRA Data Transfer Ltd is seeking a Lead Cloud Security Architect to enhance our Information Security team.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Cloud Security Architect, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert guidance and consultation in the design, optimization, and maintenance of a secure computing environment, particularly focusing on application and cloud security.
  • Ensuring compliance with security standards across KUBRA's on-premises and online platforms through thorough reviews and assessments.
  • Conducting security architecture design evaluations and offering actionable recommendations to bolster the security posture of our applications, databases, and cloud infrastructures.
  • Performing regular testing, code analysis, and security evaluations of applications owned by KUBRA.
  • Overseeing cloud security systems, managing change and configuration controls, and proposing enhancements to strengthen overall security.
  • Collaborating with DevSecOps, Application, and Infrastructure teams to address vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to security protocols.
  • Staying informed about current cybersecurity risks and analyzing trends to proactively mitigate potential issues.
  • Developing a comprehensive organizational data strategy aligned with business processes and contractual obligations.
  • Identifying and advising on suitable controls based on industry standards (e.g., CCM) to establish a framework for cloud and customer security solutions that considers business risks and cloud-native threats.
  • Participating in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to evaluate security requirements and ensure the implementation of necessary controls.
  • Continuously assessing emerging threats in the cloud environment to determine their impact on IT and business operations, and developing security controls accordingly.
  • Ensuring effective logging and monitoring of all critical infrastructure.
  • Demonstrating the ability to analyze relevant logs and security events effectively.
  • Managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Planning and executing complex security projects with precision.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Approximately 7-10 years of experience in Cloud Security Architecture.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Information Security Risk and industry best practices.
  • At least 5 years of experience in DevSecOps and/or DevOps, particularly in automating security tools.
  • A strong understanding of Application and Cloud Security principles.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture principles and best practices.
  • Certifications such as SABSA, CISSP, and CCSP are highly regarded.
