Senior Security Platforms Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Security Platforms Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex technology solutions for our cloud-based platforms and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers in the implementation and maintenance of technology solutions for cloud-based platforms and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and understand requirements, design system architecture, and network design.
- Develop and implement automated solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Drive project objectives and priorities within timelines to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentorship within the team to enhance skills and capabilities in cloud technologies.
- Understand and adhere to Scotiabank's risk appetite and risk culture.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in streaming logging collection/processing/parsing, using tools like Syslog-ng or alternatives such as ELK (Logstash), Fluent-bit.
- 5 years of experience in automating deployment processes and working with CI/CD tools (Terraform, Google Cloud Deployment, etc.).
- 5 years of experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, etc.
- 10 years of experience working with Linux, Shell, Python, SQL, Ansible, etc.
