About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at strEATS West Lethbridge Kitchen. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
    • Train and develop staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure timely food preparation.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations.
  • Team Management
    • Supervise staff in various areas of responsibility.
    • Establish work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
    • Work under pressure to maintain high standards of food quality and service.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Client-focused and able to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent full-time position with 40 hours of work per week. The language of work is English.
