About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Advisor, Data Protection to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our data and that of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an organization-wide data loss protection program, including the creation of policies, procedures, and technical controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data assets requiring protection and determine appropriate data protection measures.
  • Evaluate and select technologies and tools to support the program and oversee their implementation and configuration.
  • Monitor and analyze incidents and Data Loss Protection (DLP) tool alerts to identify potential security threats or breaches and take appropriate action to prevent data loss.
  • Educate and train employees on data governance policies and procedures, best practices, and information security awareness.
  • Work closely with compliance teams to ensure data governance policies and procedures comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Participate in security incident response activities, including investigations and remediation efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data protection and data governance and assess their relevance to the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in information security.
  • Experience in selecting and deploying data loss prevention (DLP) technologies and tools.
  • One of the following certifications would be a major asset: CISSP, CIPP, CDPSE.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude, team spirit, and willingness to learn.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to training, self-study, and maintaining technical cybersecurity skills.
  • Bilingualism (French/English).
  • No Canadian work experience required, but must be eligible to work in Canada.
