Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Canadian Tire Gas+. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks and automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, ensuring that all systems are functioning properly.
  • Adjust and Repair Parts: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems and automotive systems, ensuring that all repairs are done to manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance service on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance tasks.
  • Test and Adjust Units: Test and adjust units to specifications, ensuring that all systems are functioning properly.
  • Provide Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, advising customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Complete Reports: Complete reports to record problems and work performed, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
