Job Title: Journeyperson Welder

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Welder to join our team at FLINT Corp. in Fort McMurray. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing precision welding tasks, ensuring high-quality results, and adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications to ensure accurate and precise welding.
  • Recognize and correct defective welds, applying necessary repair procedures to maintain quality standards.
  • Safely and effectively fuse metals using prescribed welding applications, adhering to industry quality and production standards.
  • Perform tasks in alignment with industry quality and production standards, ensuring every weld meets scrutiny.

Requirements

  • Hold a Journeyperson Welder ticket, demonstrating expertise in the field.
  • Possess a B-Pressure ticket, showcasing welding expertise.
  • Hold CWB certification as a testament to welding skills.
  • Hold a CSO certification or be willing to obtain one, emphasizing commitment to safety.
  • Bring prior shop and field experience, demonstrating versatility and adaptability.
  • Understand metals, arc electrodes, welding gases, and gas welding filler rods, showcasing comprehensive knowledge.
  • Familiar with welding equipment involved in various procedures, highlighting proficiency.
  • Manage heavy materials and stand for extended periods while working in a team environment.
  • Prioritize safety as a core value and top priority in all actions.
  • Read and understand complex instructions with ease.
