About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Companion Caregiver to join our team at Hong's Family. As a key member of our care team, you will provide personalized support and companionship to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Companionship: Engage in conversations, play games, and participate in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Housekeeping and Cleaning: Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals that cater to clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Transportation and Errands: Accompany clients on outings and errands, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in programs that support the settlement and integration of newcomers and refugees, including facilitating access to community resources and language training.
  • Support for Youth: Offer on-the-job training and mentorship to youth, promoting their employment and social integration.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participate in programs that support Indigenous people, including cultural competency training and awareness initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 36 to 40 hours per week.
