About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sawmill Worker to join our team at Quadra Wood Products Ltd. As a Sawmill Worker, you will play a crucial role in the operation of our woodworking machines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Machine Operation: Work alongside experienced processing workers to operate various woodworking machines and equipment, ensuring efficient and safe production.
  • Wood Product Handling: Sort, pile, and transport wood products with precision and care, adhering to quality standards.
  • Scrap Removal: Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing, minimizing waste and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas regularly, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements and Preferences
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
