Job Title: Plant Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational leader to join our team at Agropur's Victoria plant.

About the Role

The Plant Manager will oversee and be accountable for the productivity and efficiency of the Victoria plant, ensuring high-quality products and a safe working environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations to meet key performance indicators (KPIs): quality, food safety, health and safety, customer satisfaction, and financial objectives.
  • Developing and implementing operational and capital budgets.
  • Directing, developing, and implementing key projects at the location, including new products and/or equipment implementation.
  • Reinforcing and promoting an ongoing "change culture" and managing relationships in a progressive employee relations environment.
  • Ensuring the direct training and development of salaried and hourly personnel to enhance plant performance.
  • Liaising with government and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintaining good communication and relationships between management, employees, and union representatives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in food science (dairy), engineering, or other relevant fields.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Production Manager/Production Director in a similar-sized plant in the food industry.
  • A solid track record of successful transformation projects (H&S, Quality, Innovation, Productivity, etc.).
  • Demonstrated leadership and planning skills.
  • A proven track record in improving cost base and plant performance.
  • Aptitude/experience in the financial measurement of plant performance.
