Role Overview

Arcadis Canada is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Lead to lead our expanding business across the country. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of establishing and maintaining client relationships, with a willingness to travel across Canada. They will have a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate team members, with significant consulting experience on large-scale, highly complex geotechnical projects.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Geotechnical Lead will be responsible for ensuring that the team delivers complex projects, ensuring client satisfaction through effective project management, communication, and collaboration. They will design innovative engineering solutions to address complex client problems, promote the involvement of Arcadis Global resources, educate local staff on their benefits, and act as the principal point of contact for clients.

Specialized Knowledge

  • Expertise in the Oil and Gas Sector, Mining Sector, waste management, Rail, Transit, and Pavement Design
  • Landfill and tailings dam design
  • Deep foundations design and installation
  • Environmental contaminant investigation and soil management plans
  • Northern/Arctic engineering and experience with First Nations
  • Proficiency in current geotechnical/hydrogeological software
  • Experience in inspection, testing, vibration analysis, and building condition evaluations
  • Mine waste management and remote site borrow searches

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will require:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in geotechnical or a related engineering field
  • Current P.Eng. designation in Ontario

They must also have accumulated 15+ years of experience in geotechnical, geological, or civil engineering fields, subsurface investigations, foundation/shoring recommendations, earth structure design, and/or construction supervision.
