About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Barber to join our team at Sudbury Barber Studio. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and delivering high-quality haircuts and grooming services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on beauty care treatments and provide personalized recommendations
  • Analyze hair and scalp conditions to determine the best course of treatment
  • Book appointments and manage client schedules
  • Cut and trim hair according to client preferences and instructions
  • Provide custom hair and scalp treatments to enhance client satisfaction
  • Shampoo customers' hair and provide a clean and comfortable environment
  • Shave and trim beards and mustaches to perfection
  • Supervise other hair stylists and staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
  • Apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to colour, frost, or streak hair
  • Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair to meet client expectations
  • Suggest hair styles compatible with client physical features and preferences
  • Perform receptionist duties and maintain a welcoming atmosphere
  • Maintain and order supplies to ensure a well-stocked and efficient workspace
Requirements
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform haircuts and styling tasks
  • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality results and client satisfaction
  • Standing for extended periods to provide excellent customer service
  • Client focus, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and teamwork skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
