About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented individual to join our kitchen team at Boston Pizza as a Kitchen Helper. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring that all kitchen equipment and utensils are in good working order, and supporting our chefs in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that all waste is disposed of in a responsible manner.
  • Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks, including cleaning and sanitizing, and food preparation.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Stand for extended periods, including during food preparation and cleaning tasks.
