Opportunity Overview: This position offers a chance to significantly influence the core architecture of Oracle NetSuite, addressing challenges related to scalability, concurrency, and high availability while defining and configuring our Service Infrastructure.
Role Responsibilities:
- Transforming feature specifications into comprehensive technical design documents and executing the resulting implementations.
- Developing the foundational framework for provisioning, configuring, and managing the Oracle NetSuite Service Infrastructure within the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Grasping the overarching vision and distributed architectures; collaborating with services that must operate seamlessly across various data centers in diverse geographies and time zones.
- Identifying the needs of multiple product teams to effectively create tools that assist them in achieving their objectives and delivering associated product features.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science.
- Proven experience in provisioning, deploying, and managing intricate application deployments in IaaS environments (e.g., Amazon EC2, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools and processes, including SaltStack and Terraform.
- Experience in designing, architecting, and constructing scalable multi-tier systems.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical details in clear and simple terms to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on diagnosing and resolving unexpected behaviors in complex, distributed systems.
- Experience in building, testing, and maintaining cloud systems using Java, Scala, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment frameworks and strategies, such as Jenkins.
- Comfortable analyzing complex issues at all levels of the stack, from client to server (OS, Network, JVM, Application/Browser/CLI, Storage).
- A passion for producing high-quality code.
- An interest in and enthusiasm for new technologies applicable to large-scale cloud systems.
