About the Role

Arup is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Advisory Services team as a Consultant. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advising and delivering innovative and transformative transport infrastructure projects in Canada and the US.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage client engagements providing strategic, economic, technical, and commercial advice related to the planning, development, funding/financing, and procurement of transport and major public infrastructure projects.
  • Work with public agencies and private sponsors to develop projects and programs from inception to start of construction.
  • Identify material risks and opportunities to project sponsors and present them in a way that enables clients to understand the impact on their business plan.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, planning, economics, or commerce. A master's degree in business administration, project management, and/or finance is preferred.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in the development of transportation or infrastructure projects, particularly in the rail/transit, highway, or aviation sectors.
  • Quantitative and analytical skills for cost-benefit analysis, economic impact analysis, and/or financial modeling.
  • Knowledge of commercial and procurement aspects of public-private partnerships and project financing transactions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including effective communication through reports, correspondence, and presentations in English. Fluency in French is an asset.
