Radiological Imaging Technologist I

Your Opportunity:

Position Overview:

As a Medical Radiation Technologist I, you will engage in a range of standard technical radiological imaging procedures aimed at diagnosing diseases and identifying pathologies. Your responsibilities will include interpreting physician requests, preparing and evaluating patients for imaging, and generating high-quality diagnostic images for review by Physicians and Radiologists. Additionally, you will assist in the upkeep and maintenance of imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct various imaging procedures including general and portable radiography, mobile examinations, and fluoroscopy as needed.
• Ensure the production of high-quality diagnostic images.
• Provide care and maintenance for radiological equipment.

Classification: Medical Radiation Tech I

Union Affiliation: HSAA Facility PROF/TECH

Department: Diagnostic Imaging

Work Schedule: Part-time with a commitment of 0.75 FTE.

Shift Details: Flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.

Compensation: Salary range from $35.45 to $46.69 per hour.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, candidates must have completed a diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist program and be registered or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). A current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider certification is also required.
