Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Smart Route Logistics Limited. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Management: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with central dispatch to receive and relay information, ensuring seamless communication and efficient route planning.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid AZ class license and a clean driving record.
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and experience in the transportation industry, with a focus on truck driving.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and central dispatch.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods, with occasional lifting of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced logistics environment, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions.
