Merchandising Service Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Service Associate to join our team at RONA. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our stores are visually appealing and well-stocked, providing an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Product Display Maintenance: Ensure that product displays are well-maintained, visually appealing, and accurately priced.
- Stock Availability: Verify that stock levels are adequate and replenish as needed to meet customer demand.
- Communication: Collaborate with the Merchandising Service team to prioritize projects, schedule tasks, and ensure timely completion.
- Reset Merchandise: Review and complete all assigned WIRE merchandise reset and service tasks, ensuring that reset merchandise is stocked, fronted, and fully packed down according to planogram.
- Project Execution: Provide project information, updates, and feedback to the Merchandising Service team, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Quality Control: Identify and remove damaged products, deliver them to the Return to Manufacturer (RTM) area, and sign off on products as defective.
- Buyback Verification: Assist in verifying buyback items, ensuring they are pulled, prepped, and ready for shipping.
- Bay Maintenance: Install, maintain, and reorder damaged signage and product brochures, ensuring POP reorder stickers are current, clean, intact, and properly displayed.
- Display Maintenance: Clean, dust, replace damaged beams and/or grids, correct incorrect planogram steel elevations, rotate, and down-stock items for easier customer access.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power equipment, including lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment as needed.
- Feedback and Analysis: Provide feedback and analysis on service execution to store, market, and corporate leaders, identifying and helping to resolve store-level issues.
- Basic Arithmetic: Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
- Computer Skills: Ability to utilize web-based computer programs to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Merchandising Experience: Six (6) months of experience performing product merchandising tasks, including reading planograms, setting up and tearing down displays (preferred).
- Equipment Operation: Experience operating power equipment, such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment (in asset).
- Basic Tools: Working knowledge of basic tools needed for the job, such as hand tools, drills, and saws (preferred).
- Task Orientation: Task and results-oriented, ability to work in a repetitive work environment.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks to be done and react to unexpected outcomes in a timely manner.
- Feedback: Be open to feedback and willing to adapt to changing priorities.
- Working Conditions: Ability to work standing, bending, sitting, and/or walking continuously, completing a full day's work, including scheduled breaks.
- Physical Demands: Ability to do the following movements: bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing (ladders, stairs), balancing, and/or crouching daily to perform duties.
- Object Handling: Handle and move objects (products, equipment, etc.) that can weigh up to 50lbs.
