Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Child Psychologist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical services to children and youth involved in the criminal justice system, including assessment and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and youth to identify mental health and/or emotional disorders.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to address the needs of children and youth.
  • Provide consultation and supervision to students and staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for children and youth.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of clinical services.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from a CPA or APA-accredited doctoral program.
  • Successful completion of a CPA or APA accredited internship/residency in Clinical Psychology.
  • Registration (or eligibility for registration) as a C. Psych. by the Psychological Association of Manitoba.
  • Excellent interpersonal and inter-professional teamwork skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with children and youth in a forensic setting.
  • Experience with evidence-based treatment approaches for children and youth.
  • Knowledge of child and youth mental health services and policies.
