We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Loblaw Companies Ltd - Head Office. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information
  • Process prescription orders efficiently and effectively
  • Ensure compliance with prescription record keeping for narcotics, controlled medications, and medications with ODB Limited Use authorizations
  • Prepare billing information for medications
  • Verify medications dispensed have proper labeling as required
  • Perform non-sterile specialty compounding and compliance packaging as needed
  • Maintain drug database, building new drugs as required
  • Order and receive medications
  • Conduct inventory counts
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Windows and MS Office
  • Working knowledge of Healthwatch Pharmacy Software (an asset)
  • Mathematical skills, including calculation of fractions and ratios
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Adaptive learner with strong scientific skills
  • Knowledge of drug regulations and multi-tasking skills
  • Physical demands of the role include heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
