Recreation Facility Support Assistant

Position Overview:
The Recreation Facility Support Assistant plays a vital role in overseeing childminding and preschool activities, ensuring a nurturing environment for children under our supervision. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a secure atmosphere that prioritizes the safety and well-being of the children, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the childminding space.
Key Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 10 or an equivalent level of education.
- Possession of Early Childhood Level 1 Certification.
- Strong customer service abilities.
- Proven proficiency in verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- Valid Intermediate First Aid Certificate.
- A commitment to upholding the City's Cornerstone Values.
Union Affiliation:
Represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 417.
Compensation:
The hourly wage ranges from $20.34 to $21.54.
Work Schedule:
Work hours will be assigned as needed, with no guaranteed minimum. Flexibility is required for evenings, weekends, weekdays, early mornings, and potential split shifts based on operational requirements.
