Job Title: Letter Carrier

About the Role:

As a Letter Carrier with Canada Post, you will be the face of our company in your community, delivering mail and packages to customers and businesses. This is a temporary, on-call position that requires you to be available to work in all types of weather.

Responsibilities:

  • Sort and prepare mail and packages for delivery
  • Load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle
  • Deliver mail and packages to customers on your route
  • Unload incoming mail and packages for later delivery

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 5 or Class G driver's licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years
  • Physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
  • Ability to work in all types of weather
  • Availability to be on-call
  • Ability to read, write and speak English and/or French
