We are seeking a Shipping Coordinator to oversee operations within our shipping department.

Work Environment: On-site operations.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Shipping Assistant is accountable for the effective and secure management of the Isotope Shipping Area. This role involves coordinating daily activities to ensure timely dispatch of the company's products. Responsibilities include organizing the shipping area layout for optimal workflow and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The position also entails managing incoming radioactive shipments and maintaining inventory of shipping materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Compile and organize all necessary documentation for shipments. Verify the accuracy of shipping documents and labels to prevent discrepancies. Ensure proper packaging of products, adhering to IATA regulations for the transportation of hazardous materials. Safely operate company vehicles for product delivery and manage loading and unloading processes. Monitor shipment tracking to maintain delivery schedules and communicate any delays to customers. Plan daily delivery routes to accommodate fluctuating order demands while prioritizing timely dispatch. Collaborate with Production and Quality Control to synchronize delivery schedules with airline timetables. Maintain records of transportation indices and reusable containers. Prepare products for shipment in compliance with relevant regulations. Approve all outgoing shipments and manage data entry for non-active shipments. Operate the traffic system to generate shipping documentation as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of secondary education with a minimum of three years of experience in distribution or customer service, including experience with hazardous materials. Comprehensive knowledge of AECB, CTC, IAEA, and IATA regulations related to Class 7 product shipments. Understanding of safety protocols for transporting radioactive materials. Valid driver's license is required. Familiarity with Vancouver operations and products is advantageous. Ability to prioritize and manage shipments effectively, especially under time constraints. Proficient in handling high volumes of work and resolving discrepancies prior to shipment.
