Job Summary

Birch Mountain Enterprises LP is seeking an experienced Class 1 Operator to join our team at the Cenovus site. As a Class 1 Operator, you will be responsible for the safe operation of various types of Class 3 units, including Semi-Vac, Combo Vac, Water, Vacuum, and Pressure trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Class 3 units in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform daily documentation, including daily logbooks, customer work orders, and field-level risk assessments.
  • Complete pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • Follow instructions from Dispatch or Supervisor.
  • Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings.
  • Maintain and operate BME tools and equipment to required standards.
  • Ensure all training is current.
  • Follow TDG and WHMIS standards and regulations.
  • Provide customer-focused services.
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
  • Minimum 3 years experience operating manual Class 1 equipment.
  • Previous experience operating Semi-Vac, Water, Vacuum, Hydro, or Combo Vac units, fluid transfer.
  • Mine drive experience is an asset.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.
  • Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, and H2S Alive.
