Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospitality Team Leader to join our team at Adelaide Cemeteries Authority. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hospitality and events venue and cafe, including the development of catering, café, and florist businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Work in partnership with the Hospitality Manager to develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
    • Provide strong leadership to all team members via role modelling, coaching, and mentoring to ensure a positive high-performance workplace culture.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee funeral services, catering provision, and audio-visual requirements to ensure a high standard of service is maintained.
    • Ensure all 'touch points' with clients across all areas are professional and align with the organisation's values and environmentally sustainable practices.
  • Business Development
    • Work collaboratively with marketing to deliver a community events calendar across all sites.
    • Embed a culture of continuous improvement in terms of the value offering across all touch points.
  • Financial Management
    • Track stock, costs, and budgets to ensure a profitable operation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a hospitality management role, preferably in a funeral services or events management environment.
  • Proven track record of leadership and management, with experience in budget management and forecasting.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
