Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist 2

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist 2 to join our team at BC Cancer. As a Speech Language Pathologist 2, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating cancer patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform screening, assessment, and diagnosis for cancer patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Work closely with oncologists, registered dietitians, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide recommendations based on clinical findings and diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with swallowing and communication disorders.
  • Maintain detailed records and charting of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from a recognized university program.
  • Three years of recent experience working with oncology patients in a hospital, rehabilitation, or outpatient setting.
  • Eligible for certification with Speech-Language & Audiology Canada.
  • Registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
  • Certified Practice Certificates in Videofluoroscopic Assessment and Management of Adult Swallowing Disorders, Tracheoesophageal Voice Restoration Assessment and Management, and Communication and Swallowing Assessment and Management for Tracheostomy.
