Math Teacher/Tutor Wanted

Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is seeking a part-time math teacher/tutor to join our team. As an Interactive Coach, you will work directly with students to help them develop their math skills and build their confidence.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach math to students at different levels
  • Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
Requirements:
  • CEGEP or Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 7 to 11 math curriculum, particularly senior math and including, but not limited to, advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry and calculus, and vectors.
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 7 to 11 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Strong math skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
