Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team at Whitewater Ski Resort. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our guests and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain the entire day lodge, including Skier Services, IGS building, Hummingbird lodge, Mountain Ops, and Glory Lodge, according to a weekly schedule.
- Follow a checklist of nightly tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, garbage and recycling, washing floors, cleaning washrooms, spot cleaning windows, re-stocking Kleenex dispensers, toilet paper, paper-towel, and hand sanitizer stations, and washing tables.
- Ensure tasks are completed safely while guests or other staff are in the lodge, and implement risk management procedures as per Whitewater Ski Resort.
- Perform safe and complete lock-up of lodges, set alarm if building has one, and conduct radio checks with night groomers.
- Champion a sustainable approach in daily operations, planning, and development, and promote Whitewater's safety culture by reviewing and amending Department Manuals and Employee Handbook.
- Work to achieve department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assist in achieving organizational goals, and embody Whitewater's mission statement and values.
- Perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required from time to time.
Requirements:
- Mature, reliable, and dependable individual with 1-2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Reliable vehicle, preferably 4x4, for evening shifts until 10-11pm.
- Ability to work independently and lift up to 50lbs.
