Job Title: SRE Engineer

At Devopshunt, we're seeking a highly skilled SRE Engineer to join our team. As an SRE Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale, distributed systems that ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop applications and tooling that are safe, reliable, scalable, and fast.
  • Manage distributed database infrastructure deployment on on-premise bare metal and public cloud platforms.
  • Focus on reliability, performance, and scaling to deliver continuous data store availability to our media applications.
  • Prepare alert handling procedures and run-books.
  • Collaborate with other SRE team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Engage with internal platform customers with excellent communication and a high degree of customer focus.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of prior demonstrated experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or an Infrastructure-focused role.
  • Linux expertise.
  • Support of internet-facing production services and distributed systems via deployments, on-call, and Incident Management.
  • Proficiency in implementing and coordinating telemetry using monitoring and observability tools like Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus.
  • Hands-on scripting with Python and shell.
  • Designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure with a cloud provider such as AWS.
  • Automation advocate - prior history of removing operational toil via software.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated expertise developing distributed systems, storage engines, or performance engineering.
  • Experience developing critical internet services and/or platform infrastructure.
  • Proficient in one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Go (golang), or Python.
  • Experience managing services on Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Terraform.

At Devopshunt, we offer a comprehensive compensation package, including a base salary range of $143,500 to $215,300, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
