About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Behaviour Analyst to join our team at Arc Mercer. As a Behaviour Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing clinical services to individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviours
  • Develop and implement individualized behaviour support plans using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to individuals with dual diagnosis
  • Design and implement training initiatives for Behaviour Assistants, community partners, and direct support employees
  • Develop skill acquisition programs and data collection procedures to evaluate performance
  • Make data-driven decisions to amend treatment plans in consultation with individuals, families, and clinical teams
Requirements
  • Master's degree in psychology, education, or a related field
  • Registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario with a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) designation
  • Formal training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is an asset
  • Minimum of five years of recent full-time clinical work experience in a multidisciplinary team providing behaviour analytic services
  • Strong assessment, planning, priority setting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, crisis intervention, and counseling skills
  • Strong empathy for individuals with dual diagnosis
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to balance administrative and clinical duties
  • Knowledge and familiarity with computer operations and software applications
  • Current valid certificates in First Aid/CPR and Safe Management Group Crisis Intervention
  • Current valid driver's license and own reliable transportation
