Job Title: Senior Performance Engineer in Test

At Synopsys, Inc., we are seeking a highly motivated and innovative experienced digital design engineer with knowledge of ASIC development, modeling, and digital signal processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong theoretical and practical background in high-speed serializer and data recovery circuits, which is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-speed digital and mixed-signal ASICs
  • Develop and implement digital signal processing algorithms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-end mixed-signal designs
  • Perform functional and performance tests on test-chips
Requirements:
  • Relevant ASIC digital design experience in the industry
  • Strong scripting expertise in Shell, Perl, Python, etc.
  • Good understanding of digital signal processing
  • Good theoretical and/or practical understanding of components in high-speed SerDes PHY, such as CDR, ADC, FracN PLL, etc.
  • Experience with block-level and system-level modeling using either Matlab, Simulink, Verilog, or System Verilog
  • BSEE or MSEE plus a minimum of 3+ years of digital design and verification experience in the industry
  • Good organization and communication skills for interacting between different design groups and/or customers
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High-speed digital & mixed-signal ASIC design experience
  • Experience in analog design
