Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing the energy consumption of Metro's facilities and identifying opportunities for cost-effective reductions. This will involve collaborating with various teams to implement energy-efficient projects and preparing grant applications as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze energy studies for Metro's sites and recommend eco-friendly measures based on the analysis.
  • Provide technical support to construction and maintenance teams during energy improvement projects.
  • Develop detailed technical studies on new energy-saving technologies related to building systems and mechanics.
  • Be responsible for preparing and tracking grant applications for energy-related projects in Quebec.
  • Coordinate the exchange of relevant information between external/internal professionals and organizations offering grants.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers and other stakeholders on construction projects.
  • Support the mechanical and energy team during the design of refrigeration systems.
  • Perform any other related tasks as requested by their supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree required
  • 5 years of experience in building mechanics
  • Proficient in Auto-Cad software and Windows environment
  • Knowledge of food commerce concepts, refrigeration, and energy tracking software
  • Proficient in simulation software such as PEP, EE4, etc.
