Job Overview

CPP Investments is in search of a dedicated Analyst to become a part of our Expense Operations within the Corporate Services, Technology & Operations division. This role is essential for ensuring the seamless processing of expenses across the organization. The Analyst will work closely with the Associate of Expense Operations and will be tasked with comprehensive expense management, which includes invoice processing, intercompany transaction recording, and supporting the month-end accounting cycle. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting operations, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to excel in a dynamic team environment.

This position requires collaboration with the Expense Operations team and various internal departments to guarantee efficient and precise expense processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee global vendor payments related to investment expenses
  • Accurately process investment-related invoices in a timely manner
  • Provide assistance to stakeholders regarding expense-related queries
  • Manage journal entries, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations
  • Support various projects and initiatives associated with expense processing
  • Develop and implement new procedures and controls to ensure compliance with policies
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required to adapt to changing processes and technologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable role, ideally within corporate or investment finance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office software
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Flexible and adaptable to a rapidly changing business and technological landscape
  • Exhibits partnership, integrity, and a commitment to high performance
