About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Portuguese Language Instructor to join our team at the University of Ottawa. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction in elementary Portuguese to students.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cover essential grammar, pronunciation, and conversational skills in Portuguese.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and interaction.
  • Assess student progress through oral and written exercises, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Portuguese or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching elementary Portuguese language courses.
  • Strong command of both French and English languages.
